Dr. Gao joined the Judd Leighton School of Business and Economics in August 2015. Dr. Gao received her PhD in Economics from Georgia State University with a concentration on Experimental Economics and Public Economics. Prior to coming to Indiana University South Bend, she taught at Central Michigan University and Georgia State University, where she received the Theodore C. Boyden Excellence in Teaching Economics Award and Excellence in College Teaching Award. Dr. Gao is a member of American Economic Association, Western Economic Association, Southern Economic Association, and Midwest Economics Association.
