Visiting Assistant Professor of Business Law and Ethics

Visiting Assistant Professor position starting in August, 2017. Minimum qualification is an accredited J.D. A commitment to effective teaching, quality research, and collegiate service is essential. Preference is given to dynamic individuals with university or college level teaching experience and strong mentorship abilities, demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues, evidence of scholarly activity, and non-­‐academic relevant work experience. The IU South Bend Judd Leighton School of Business and Economics is accredited by AACSB International. The position has a teaching load of four courses per semester, or twelve credit hours, at the undergraduate and MBA levels in business law & ethics and business & society. This position may be converted to a tenure track line effective the subsequent year, with a 3/3 teaching load, pending budgetary approval. Online course development and teaching are expected.

Assistant Professor of Economics

One Assistant Professor of Economics position in the AACSB accredited Judd Leighton School of Business and Economics at Indiana University South Bend starting in August, 2017. The position requires a Ph.D./DBA in economics from an AACSB accredited school of business and economics or equivalent (ABD candidates will be considered). The position has a teaching load of three courses per semester, or nine credit hours, at the undergraduate and graduate levels. We expect the new faculty member to develop and teach online courses and to play an active role in the Bureau of Business and Economic Research. Preference will be given to applicants who have taught undergraduate behavioral economics, experimental economics or public economics, as well as, MBA courses. Preference will also be given to applicants who have directed capstone projects, taught in freshmen cohorts and collaborated with undergraduate students on economic research.
