Student Organizations

Student involvement is a key component of experiential education and an important part campus life. The Leighton School of Business recognizes this and supports a variety of business-focused student groups.

Students are encouraged to participate. A complete list of all IU South Bend student clubs and organizations can be found in the Titan Atlas, the official list of IU South Bend student groups, in the One.IU system.

Honor Societies

Honor societies recognize outstanding academic achievement of students. The criteria to be involved with these societies is based on GPA and other academic measures. Typically, students meeting the academic requirements are sent an invitation to join.

Beta Gamma Sigma

Beta Gamma Sigma, the national honor society for business students

Criteria to join: Members GPA must be in the top 10% of business students.

Omicron Delta Epsilon

Omicron Delta Epsilon, the international honorary economics society

Criteria to join: Members must be economics majors, must be in junior standing, must have completed 12 upper-division credit hours of economics coursework with an overall 3.0 GPA in this coursework, and must have an overall GPA of 3.0.

International Honor Society of the Financial Management Association

Criteria to join: Members must have a 3.50 GPA in Finance and 3.50 overall GPA and completion of six (6) hours of finance and/or finance-related coursework.
