What is Health Care Management?

A Leighton School general business degree provides you with a broad understanding of fundamental business concepts, including finance, marketing and management. You'll be equipped with the business skills you need to help your company determine its priorities, coordinate multiple projects and meet its business goals.

As a Leighton School health care management major, you'll learn budgeting, planning, and cost control strategies for healthcare organizations, as well as the human resource skills needed to direct, coordinate and supervise the work of health care employees.

Improving efficiency, quality and patient satisfaction is a critical component of this industry. Managers who have developed the skills to deliver these outcomes are in high demand.

Very good!

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics healthcare occupations are projected to grow 18 percent from 2016 to 2026, much faster than the average for all occupations, adding about 2.4 million new jobs.
